I have the same issue with you from the node nano, lost the texture and the body of the sound especially in the bass to mid-bass area and the separation and depth (althought minimal). Can i and how do i (if i can) get back to the to the older firmware (downgrade)? I really enjoyed the sound from the previous firmware.

I would very much like to get back to the sound and firmware I had. The Wiim Ultra that I switched from had better sound.

I'm using the internal DAC with Rca and I experience the same.

I got feedback from the support team:

"Please know that there were no significant changes to the sound characteristics of the NODE ICON with the latest BluOS release.

As a test, please unplug your NODE ICON from power for 30+ seconds.  Then reconnect power and let the NODE ICON power up.  Once ready, play some music and see if the audio has been restored."

At the moment I am on a business trip so I can't perform the described test before the end of the week.

In my case the suggested solution to unplug the NODE ICON for more than 30 seconds worked. For me in my setup the NODE ICON sounds like before the firmware upgrade.
