Powernode 2025 Dolby Digital

I recently purchased and started using a Powernode 2025. I have two Klipsch bookshelves and an RSL Speedwoofer 10e connected to it, and it's connected to my TV via eARC. The sound is fantastic. That said, I purchased the Powernode partially for its upgradeability - I plan to add a Klipsch center channel and two Bluesound speakers for rears. My question is...since the Powernode supports only DD, what happens when I watch something encoded in DTS? Will the Powernode try to approximate surround sound in some way, or will it simply default to stereo? Also, when watching something in Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, etc., will the Powernode simply output "standard" DD 5.1?
