Try running a “rebuild index” on a Player that is connected by Ethernet. Don’t touch the other players as they replicate so no rebooting or running rebuilds on different devices and walk away for an hour. Then have a look at the player you used for the rebuild and see if the library is correct.

Many, many years ago I ran into a similar issue and factory reset the players except the one I was working on, after that everything worked.

    Hey Seppi,

I just tried that and deleted all shares, connected via the app to one player I used the most, added one of the three network shares and pressed rebuild index under diagnostics. I didn't touch anything on any app nor did I connect to another player and waited 90min. The result is the same, every album has now four entries per song.

An additional observations that might you help to troubleshoot what is going on: The last five albums I added are the only ones that look fine. Also, I have some albums that have less duplications.

I also run a jellyfin server pulling data from the exact same three shares (and some others obviously) that just works fine.

Lastly, please don't tell me to factory reset all seven players with all the playlists, custom setting, home theater build, DIRAC and other profiles....? :(
Is there any rational that can explain such a duplication? Old SMB protocol being used etc? It has to be on the Blusound (and NAD) Player side...

I'm happy to help you more improving your products where I can...

In the meantime, I try to restart my NAS. It was set to use/allow SMB version 1.2, 2 and 2.1. I added 3 to test but would be surprised if that makes a difference.

Hi Krang, sorry I am just another user who experienced similar. Best to log a support ticket using the BluOS App as this sends the logs and work with them.

The share(s) you are using, if there is a trash can / deleted folder this does need to be emptied otherwise duplicate tracks can be picked up. You can see this when using the context menu and look at the data path.

One thing I do if experiencing issue with my own music library is to remove all library paths and then wait 15 mins. Then I copy a few albums that have issues onto a blank USB memory stick making sure it has no hidden partitions and plug it into a player. Hopefully at this point I can then work out what the issue is.

With lots of players do make sure you don’t have a USB drive plugged into a BluOS device as this would also be indexed without having to add a network path.
