MQA Blue Light?
BeantwortetGood Evening,
I have my TIDAL (top tier subscription) hooked up to my BluOS app.
I've read the FAQ that says for MQA authenticated we want the blue light next to the MQA logo.
However, maybe it's my older eyes, I can't tell if the light is BLUE or GREEN.
Any other way to tell?
A support article from Bluesound says:
Green: An original MQA File encoded at the source
Blue: A 24-bit file converted and confirmed as MQA

Good Morning Tony,
First, thank you for the very quick response.
So, I've never been keen on just assuming because someone says so.
In my opinion, any indicator light on a car, piece of machinery, or in this case a software app, should be easily identifiable. While I do know the colors are set by MQA, (blue and green are very close in color) can you help the situation my making the indicator light larger or spell out the word BLUE or GREEN, or do something to make it not so hard to read?
Also, depending on the color of the album artwork, this also adds a layer of difficulty. If the album artwork is blue or green, it bleeds together.
Your help in this matter would also be a great service to your older and/or visually impaired customers.
I do have the brightness set to full on my iPad.
I can't be the only one having this issue I'd have to imagine.
Many Thanks,
Andy.

Thanks for the feedback Andy, I have passed it along to our Quality Assurance Team for future consideration.
Just to clarify, green is rare as most of the record companies who handle the conversion to MQA from the original Masters do so with great care to include the artist or copyright holder to avoid a green indicator.

For what it's worth, I also find it a bit hard to spot the difference between the tiny green and blue dot in the app, even though my vision is pretty good. I'm sure there are other nuances of the colors that are easier to differentiate.

Tony, as for "green is rare".
This may have been true two years ago. But now I can see green dots only.
Taking a magnifier glass and also comparing with the "light blue" color of the volume bar below
I'd say there are only green dots visible.0
