Connecting to non bluesound active speakers
BeantwortetI am thinking of buying the bluesound node 2 as the streamer for my hard wired hifi system (amp/ speakers) but i want also to connect wirelessly to a pair of active bluetooth / wifi speakers which would be in an adjacent room and play music in synch. I gather that would not be possible via bluesound wifi - would it be possible via bluetooth (the node is a bluesound transmitter as well as a receiver I understand). If possible would the bluetooth speaker need to be the aptx bluetooth compatible or would this also work with older versions of bluetooth?

Get a PULSE MINI - you will be happier.
If you are using Bluetooth form your NODE< the NODE will think it's headphones and mute the main room - You also will be limited to the audio quality of Bluetooth.

Ok as expected its limited to using your own products which is understandable from a commercial viewpoint. I understand that the mini might sound good but it does not meet my needs. I will have try to figure out a work around if I am going to purchase the Node.

Hi Ian
If cost is an issue, perhaps the PULSE FLEX may also work for you

TBH I have scoured the market re active speakers - node 2 is pretty much no brainer. I am probably looking for something which does not exist at present (in terms of the looks, portability coupled with sound quality) but will consider the flex for sure.
