iPad Lock Screen During Playback

Is there a way to set the iPad so that it does not go to the lock screen while the music is playing?  I would like to have the iPad stay awake so that I can look at the album art and name of the currently playing song during the entire time I am using the player.  Currently the iPad goes to sleep after the normal time set on the iPad.

  That's a question for Apple as it really is iOS related. There isn't any way I know of for that to happen in iOS to keep the iPhone or iPad from going to sleep on specific Apps.

  Another music app I have (Squeezepad) will stay on while its server is streaming music, that's why I thought it must be possible to do.

  Hi,

  This would be a good option to add.

  It is not a question for apple as other music apps i have prevent the ipad going into lock screen.

  For example, Plexamp and the Linn music app (even has a setting to turn the option on or off) those apps when running in the foreground overide the lock screen time out.

  So if you could implement that feature it would be great.
