Small delay between node2i - analog speakers and pulse flex
BeantwortetHi,
I am experiencing a minimal delay in my setup. Connected my AV Receiver + 2 analog speakers with a Node 2i with a Pulse Flex in the same room. There's not much delay, but just enough to hear a little echo. Especially when listening to people talking on the radio (viaTunein on the Bluos app). Then you hear too much space. Is this normal? Or can I fix this somehow? Fast reaction would be appreciated, because maybe I want to send the product back.
Thanks in advance,
Borschi.
The receiver is a Denon PMA 1500r. I think it was build like twenty years ago.

Can you hear which player is behind ?
If the Node with Denon is behind, try the source direct setting of the Denon. Maybe Loudness off too. These settings maybe delay the audiosignal.
Do you have the same audiosettings on the Node and Pulse Flex?

Thanks! Source Direct option worked a bit. Great. I believe there's no significant delay anymore. Happy with this solution. Nevertheless, I notice that the sound sounds very spacious when I turn on both combinations compared to listening to the devices separately. Just like the sound in a bathroom. But maybe this is inherent to having multiple speakers in one room, it is the first time that I have this now. And somehow this spacious sound is quite nice, except when I listen to voices.
Thanks anyway for the good advice,
Rob

oh and with your comment about same audiosettings on the Node and Pulse Flex, I assume you mean the audio options like replay gain, volume limits menu?

Yes this was an idea to check, any processing on signals can give you a delay.
Got an other idea, you are grouping the two players right? Not just playing same source on both players?
Sometimes there is a short delay, pause playback and after 1-3 seconds press play for the group. This will sync the players and can solve such small delays. This is network related.

Hi,
Yes I have grouped the two players. Your option does not change the delay. But I actually find it difficult to point out which player is behind. So maybe the delay was already completely gone after using Source Direct option. Still the spacious sound. But this probably is what you get when playing multiple players in one room.
Thanks for your advices.

You shouldn't - our engineering team has put a lot of effort to ensure this. Something is introducing delay on your playback. Please select Help, Send Support Request in the App when the Players are grouped. We are seeing a high volume of calls right now due to the Holiday Buying Season but will get back to you as quickly as possible after seeing your log files to help identify if it is network or audio playback introducing the delay.
