Can I use other brands of WIFI connected speakers with BluOS or ony Bluesound brand?

I have the Node 2I, love the unit, My question is can I use other brands of WIFI connected speakers with BluOS or only Bluesound brand?

I am looking into the Audio Pro Addon C3, my kids want this speaker so badly.

The speaker has Wi-fi + Ethernet, Bluetooth V4.0.

  BluOS is a closed eco-system - your Bluesound Players will only interact with other Bluesound or BluOS Players.
  
  Have you considered a PULSE MINI 2i as it has a very similar feature set.
