Wifi vs Ethernet

Hi,

I'm new to Nodeing so please be patient if i am asking asking a silly question.

I would like to compare the sound quality between Wifi and ethernet hard wired.

If I connect my Node to my router with a cable does the Node know this and turn off the wifi connection?

Or is there a setting I need to change?

  Hello Chris, 

  Yup -- when the Ethernet cable is plugged into the NODE, the NODE will default to that wired connection (and not WiFi). 

  Ultimately let your ears decide whether you hear any difference between wired or wireless, but I like to say there is definitely an experience difference.

  You can always rely on an Ethernet cable to be stable and be there, whereas a WiFi connection can be degraded with interference (Bluetooth, or even/especially your microwave nearby).

  Thanks Sam, I've not tried it yet as I have to get a longer cable.
