Question about Bluesound Node 2i with Chord Quest

Hi Guys:

i recently purchased a node 2i and connect it with a Chord Qutest through an optical cable. i am currently using Tidal through bluesound app and tidal connect. here are my observation

1) if i use bluesound app, the chord qutest shows green or orange color, which is about 88khz-96khz

2) if i use tidal connect, the chord qutest shows red color which is 44khz

are there any other ways to connect qutest that can get higher sample rate such as 192khz or even higher?

  Hello Lei, 

  Upon cursory research, it looks like the Chord Qutest is not capable of MQA, so running an Optical cable out of the NODE to this DAC will play up to 24 bit/96 kHz

  That being said, by default the NODE should be playing the highest provided sample rate, and if you find you are getting 44.1 I'd first check the TIDAL stream's bitrate (not all MQA songs on TIDAL are in 24/192; they are in the original studio-recorded sample rate, and you'll find for a lot of artists this is only 44.1, like The Smiths for example).
