Cleaning and seal around Play/Pause screen on Node 2

Bluesound support has not responded after opening a support ticket 10 days ago. Hopefully, the community can help. Has anyone had success cleaning the exterior of the Node? It appears sort of like grease stains but won't come clean. I've not used any sort of chemicals. In addition, the seal around the Play/Pause screen seems like it's disintegrating, it's no longer a smooth seal. I'd like to sell this Node and possibly upgrade to the 2i, without a response from BS support I doubt that will happen. The player works perfectly, but selling it is an issue. Of course, potential buyers want a device in good working order, but ascetics are important. I would give the player a 9/10 but with the exterior, in the shape it's in, I'm looking at best a 7/10. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
