Trouble with my Pulse 2 (2016)
BeantwortetHello,
I have owned a Bluesound Pulse 2 since 2016. Since about 1 or 2 months ago I've been experiencing problems with it, that don't seem related but maybe they are. This are the problems I've been experiencing:
I've tried a number of different ways of using spotify on my Pulse 2, with no result. When I use bluetooth to connect to the Pulse 2, the same problem arises as with using spotify through the bluesound app. I also tried to stream Spotify from different devices (android, IOS, win10). I've also tried connecting the Pulse 2 with a cable with my modem, instead through WiFi, with no better result. I've tried resetting the Pulse 2 to factory settings, installing everything fresh, no result.
Just to be complete: Spotify is working fine on my phone, Ipad of desktop, no 'warming up' or anything.
Do you have any clue what could be the problem?
Regards,
Frank
I have owned a Bluesound Pulse 2 since 2016. Since about 1 or 2 months ago I've been experiencing problems with it, that don't seem related but maybe they are. This are the problems I've been experiencing:
- When I listen to the radio (with the TuneIn app), the Pulse 2 works as before;
- When I try to listen to my spotify premium account, a number of strange things happen: at first I don't hear anything, after a few minutes I hear tiny fragments of the song I'm playing. That gradually improves, after 8 minutes the song plays, with regular hiccups. More improvement comes, so after 15 minutes the speaker is working almost fine. I can then change numbers on spotify, no problem, it feels like the Pulse 2 needs 'warming up'. Even at this stage it is not working perfectly, some songs distort, like for instance heavy parts of songs by Audioslave.
- Both with TuneIn as with Spotify, the sounds distort heavily, unless I tick the box in the setting Player - Audio - Tone Controls. The sound changes then, almost like the change from stereo to mono, and the distortion stops.

Hello Frank,
Not something I've seen before. Interesting that activating the Tone Controls removes the distortion. but I can't say for certain yet if the 'warm up'/hiccups are related.
Please replicate these issues (from start to after warm up) and then send our support crew a diagnostic log via Help > Send Support Request (in the BluOS app; log will be automatically attached) so they may investigate further.
Regards,
Sam R.
