Some covers will be displayed, other won't

I own a NAD T778. I have a Synology NAS where my music library is stored. Nearly all files are in ALAC (m4a) format. In the music app on my Macbook all covers are displayed properly but on my NAD T778 and the apps on my Macbook, iPad and iPhone some covers are missing. I cannot see a pattern which are displayed and which aren't.
I tried a few times the suggested solution by reindexing the library and reload the covers but nothing changed. Is this a bug in the bluesound software? Is there a solution or a workaround?

Hello Guido,
Sounds like there's a bit going on here. Since you've already gone through some of the troubleshooting steps, I would recommend sending support@bluesound.com a screenshot or a zipped folder of one of the albums where the cover art won't display so they can test it on their end to see what's going on.

is there a solution? having the same problem, appr. 50% of my albiums dont show a cover,
was already wondering if there is an option to upload them manually to bluOS like eg in itunes
