Can't set volume to 0 when streaming over Airplay 2

I have a new issue with my Powernode 2i: when streaming any service over Airplay (2) I can't mute the speakers.
When the "Airplay volume" on my iOS device is set to zero I can still hear the music playing reasonably loud and the BluOS controller app shows that the volume is not set to zero (see the picture). Volume is sometimes too loud at that volume.
I can slide the slider in the BluOS controller -app to zero and the music mutes as expected. So the problem is that AirPlay volume is out of sync with actual player volume.
My other AirPlay speakers (HomePod) don't have the issue. I believe the problem didn't exist before.
I have tried resetting the PowerNode, but that didn't help.
Here is some information:
- Devices running on iOS 13 and 14
- Can't find Powernode 2i firmware-version from the app. There are no updates available.
