How to remove Flag file tag from showing in bluos
BeantwortetI have some CD's I just ripped to Flac with anyburn, but when I play them in bluos it shows the .Flac extension at the end of the track file name, is there any way to remove this ? I have other Flac albums that I downloaded on the internet and they all show as normal in bluos without the .Flac name at the end of the track file name. When I view the files on my computer they don't have this Flac tag showing in the file name, of course if I put my mouse over one of the files it will show that it is a Flac audio file but thats all. I don't know if anyburn added this tag to them or maybe mp3tag that I used to add the album cover art. If anyone have an idea how to remove it please let me know. I see it shows the .Flac also after the file name when I play them on my computer with VLC so it must have been added somehow by the programs I used when ripping or tagging. I uploaded a pic so you can see what I mean, see below.

Hello Tom,
Given the ".flac" doesn't show in Windows (unless hovered over) but shows in both BluOS and VLC, it's likely the metadata that has the ".flac" on it. I would recommend loading the song/album into MP3Tag and checking the TITLE tag (or, checking the View > Extended Tags in MP3Tag). Remove the ".flac" at the end of that TITLE tag, save the changes, check if all is well in VLC then in the BluOS hit Help > Diagnostics > Rebuild Index.
You mentioned other FLAC albums downloaded from the internet appear fine, so I suspect Anyburn may be adding this ".flac" to the end of the tag. There should be a setting to change this.

Thx for your reply gonna check it out and see if there is a setting in anyburn or a way to remove it under extended tags in mp3tag.

Okay I checked with mp3tag and nothing under extended tags in the metadata window, at least nothing showing the flac or wav file extension. I'll try and do some more googeling and see if I can find something. Thx again.
