NAD T 758 as a primary to Bluesound Powernode 2i, Node 2i
BeantwortetHello,
the most common scenario in one' s house is as follows:
In the living room - home cinema system - NAD T 758 V3
In the dining room (usually connected with the living room) - some sort of stereo (built-in or bookshelfs) - Powernode 2
Bedrooms, Bathroom etc. etc. - other zones.
In that case, the TV is connected to the T 758 V3, but how to send the audio from the TV to the other zones?
My question (maybe future request) is: is it technically possible to send the signal from the ARC (or optical input) on T 758 V3 and send it to the Powernode 2i?
After few expiriments, I understood that you can use Node 2i and Powernode 2i as a "primary" when you use their analog/optical inputs - any external source connected to it, can be send to any BluOS device.
But that does not work for T 758 V3 and C 388 with BluOS module - you can not send connected sources to any other BluOS devices.
I hope somebody could explain the techical reason for this limitation.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Ivaylo
You cannot send audio from any input from the NAD AVRs using a BluOS Module such as a T758 using the VM130 4K card to other BluOS devices in any current models as the MDC bus of the NAD Chassis is a one-way transport only accepting inputs.
With the breakthrough release of last year's NAD C658 and newly released NAD M33 our good friends down the hall have side-stepped that limitation in 2 channel audio as the C658 and M33 run BluOS natively (rather than as an expansion module) allowing you to group inputs. Why I personally upgraded to the C658/C268 immediately so I could group vinyl through my home.
They unfortunately are not there with the AVR line up and this hardware limitation still exists... at least in the latest version of the T778. -
Hello, I'm a little bit disappointed since bought a NAD T758 V3i and only discovered the limitation after the purchase. Are there meanwhile any other AVR receivers available that side-step this limitation? Or do you know of any Home Theater receivers that will come out in the future to support this?
Thanks,
Jiri
