That is unfortunate - but BluOS cannot compensate for the delay in other third-party' DACs. I would try analogue out using the NODE's own 24/192 onboard DAC or speak with Devialt to understand why so much delay is added.

Unfortunatly the phantoms only have spdif input, no analog. so there is no way for me to connect them any other way.
A good feature for the blueos app would be to add the possibility to adjust the delay of other speakers in the system, so you can match it up.

I am assuming other active speakers that are connected to the node through the spdif out would have similar timing issues?

Actually - only the second one I have heard of - the others I came across were a set by Dynaudio about 5 years ago. Those had an analogue in and bypassing their DAC resolved the issue.

Adding a delay would un-do all the work that is put into clock development to ensure perfect (meaning <20ms) synchronisation.

Thats a shame. You would think that just delaying the whole system by the same amount wouldn't cause any syncronisation issues, but I'm no audio engineer so what do I know =)

I did find a sort of workaround, although not perfect. In case anyone else want to connect their phantoms to the rest of their bluesound system.

I returned the node and by using roon I was able to sync both the phantoms and my 2 bluesound speakers using airplay.
