Bluesound Powernode 2i Input to Preamp
BeantwortetI want to use my Bluesound Powernode 2i as a music streamer to my preamp. Should I use the headphone analog output to RCA adapter to input to my line in on my preamp? Is there a better way? Should I use the speaker line output through a resistor as my line in?

Hi Arthur
There is no pre-out on the POWERNODE. Your solution is to purchase a NODE which is a passive player.

I just tried using theBluesound Powernode 2i headphone output to my rca line in on my Marantz P8006 integrated amp. It sounds fine. I also own a Bluesound node 2i. I can't hear a difference.

I listened again. It sounds pretty good. Am I missing something?

What about using the subwoofer pre-out?
Is there any drawback?

One last follow up question to this, could the Powernode 2i output be 'streamed' to an Apple TV, which is then connected to a power amp?

Hi George
No - The POWERNODE IS an amp.
What you may want to consider is to purchase a NODE and connect that to the poweramp as the NODE is a passive player. You would then want to connect the AppleTV to your television via HDMI (in) and connect the HDMI ARC output to the NODE HDMI port for the best audio quality.
