Bypass Node 2i DAC with M2Tech Young MKIII for MQA
BeantwortetHello,
I have a Bluesound Node 2i streamer and a M2Tech Younng MKIII DAC which is MQA certified.
I was wondering if I could bypass the Node 2i DAC and send the full MQA bits to my DAC using co-axial or Toslink inputs and get the maximum quality, i.e. 24 bits/192 kHz for some albums.
I know this is possible for the Mytek Liberty DAC.
How about mine ?
Will it be able to process MQA from co-axial or Toslink ? Of course it's possible using USB but not very convenient for streaming.

All MQA External DACs can be used by selecting MQA External DAC in Settings, Player, Audio.

Hello,
I tried and it didn't work.
On a 192 kHz track I was limited to 48 kHz when using the passthrough MQA mode.
I tried with both the optical and coaxial inputs.
The MQA was decoded properly when I used the USB input with my laptop.
