    HI Conny

The USB Drive connected to your router creating a Network Share is a great step forward. Once it is connected to the router - then in the App, under Music Library, select Reindex collection which will be a much faster scan.

That being said, why are you still ripping as WAV files? You should be ripping your CDs as 16/44.1 FLAC files for best sonic performance and metadata integration.

    Hi Tony,

The wav format is just to be as Close to the CD as possible, but I try to learn about Flack files and levels of compression for the Flack format. The wav story is from a time when no one had a clue what should be an standard in the future. I will consider flac. but Wav is working great in Node, I have trouble with many of my covers and when resize them I still can't get it to work, but I will figure that out. You made me curious abot the sonic performance, are Flac superior to Wav. or do you mean that the Node handles the Flac better to Wav and creates a better sound? Please explain I'm still on a Learning curve, but I can say that I'm here to stay with BlueNode I Think it is a great way and now when I connected my HDD to the router I don't need a computer running, great! I might add that the cost for HDD is no longer an issue.

FLAC files were designed to provide the lossless performance of WAV files but handle metadata such as album artwork and other meta tags. Windows Audio Vectors were always designed as sound effects.
