Controller not finding Flex 2i consistently
BeantwortetHi, I have an issue with a Flex 2i connecting via WiFi (5GHz) via a BT Disc (extender). I'm aware of the band spanning/steering issue as I'm the original author of the post (https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360029595674-Bluos-Controller-on-Mac-not-finding-Pulse-Flex?input_string=Controller%20not%20finding%20Flex%202i%20consistently) which flagged up the problem a year ago.
What's strange is that I have a gen 1 flex and another 2i, connecting on WiFi at 2.4GHz and 5GHz directly to the router respectively and they both work fine. It's just the 2i connected to WiFi via this BT Disc.
Anyone have any ideas on how to solve? I find that it periodically shows up in the controller but most of the time not.
I've added an image showing all three speakers are connected on WiFi.
Thanks, Julian

Your BT DIsc is blocking Multicast traffic, dropping network packets creating collisions or is not properly updating the MAC address and NAT table of the router. I would contact BT Disc and report the issue to them. Underline the IoT Device (Bluesound Player) connects fine to the router directly.

Thanks Tony, will do. I'll report back the outcome.

I was put to the expense of buying a new router as I was told that BT routers were rubbish! Now you are saying they are ok? I am £180 down because of that assertion.
