Bluesound node2i switched on/off

Hi,

I've just bought a Bluesound node2i and I'm really happy with it, but I have a question: I've connected the player to the power supply integrated with my amplifier, so when I switch off the amplifier the node2 is turned off as well.

Since I'm reading that the node2 is designed to be always on, can switching it on and off everyday cause problems or reduce the life of the player?

  Hi Robert

  As an IoT appliance, the NODE can take up to 3-5 minutes to boot properly. It's PSU is also designed to be always running. I would plug it into the wall and leave it on to not only extend the life of the PSU but also for ease of use.
