Mounting secondary share router failed
BeantwortetHi Guys,
Next to the Synololgy NAS network share I've tried to add a secondary network share on my IPad.
This share is a USB device located on my Asus router RT-N66U. All Windows clients can connect and access the share.
When I confirm the path of this share \\192.nnn.n.n\MUSIC\Flac the message "Mounting share failed" appears instantly and a second message "one moment please" . After a few seconds the screen refreshed.
Any suggestions? Thank you in advance for your answer(s).

Hello Aat,
You may need to configure Guest permissions on the specified folder (MUSIC/Flac) under Windows via right-click > Properties > Sharing tab to allow BluOS to mount this USB device via the router.
For detailed steps on this, please see the article here: https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/articles/203904628-How-do-I-connect-music-onmy-NAS-PC-or-iTunes-Shared-Music-to-Bluesound
If afterwards you are still unable to mount the share, please send a diagnostic log to our support crew by going to Help > Send Support Request in the BluOS app.
The log will be automatically included with this request and a member of the BluOS support crew will reach out to you shortly after to work towards resolving this issue for you.

Hi Sam,
Thank you for your swift response.
The extra user ID created on my router was not visible in the windows file explorer file properties. With the router admin credentials I could connect to USB storage device on my router, so for now this issue solved.
However, I've noticed that last added share became the active, indexed share and could not switch easily between the two shares. At the end I've removed the secondary share, but I was forced to re-index the primary share. Is my assumption correct that the Node 2 is connected to multiple shares, only is active and indexed?
Thank you in advance for answer(s).

Hello Aat,
There wouldn't be a single 'active' or main share so to speak; rather, they would be combined in the main view. However, you can view these shares separately in the BluOS app if you navigate to Library > Folders.
