Tips to keep battery pack in best shape

Hello,
Received my Flex 2i and battery pack yesterday. Was set up and running in minutes.
Having experience with other "entry level" speakers of platforms like MusicCast and HEOS, I was not expecting to be that impressed with the Flex 2i, but man... what was I wrong. Really love the sound this little speaker makes and totally worth the price difference with those other speakers that I bought over the years and only (barely) tolerated at best. These unexpected surprises are more than welcome! :-)
I have a simple question about the Flex battery pack BP100:
What is the best way to keep the batteries in the battery pack in best state for as long as possible? Charge when (almost) empty, or charge early and often?
Some additional comments about the BP100:
I've read the batteries are still draining when in vacant mode and that it's dangerous to keep the Flex connected to the mains with the battery pack connected, because it'll be continuously overcharging the batteries. That's my only gripe so far: the battery pack seems like an afterthought and not a first class citizen. I hope the Bluesound designers will take this into account in any possible next product that can run on batteries.
Now back to enjoying the music the Flex makes :-)

Hello Vincent,
You shouldn't have any trouble keeping your Pulse Flex connected to your BP100. However, if you would like to ensure the longevity of the batteries of the BP100, I would suggest disconnecting the BP100 from your Pulse Flex when you are not charging or using the battery pack.
