Can Bluesound be used as a PC speaker?
BeantwortetI have a PC and some ceiling speakers connected to a PowerNode 2i. The PowerNode 2i is not in bluetooth range of the PC. I'm trying to get the audio from the PC to play on the ceiling speakers, but it looks like this is not possible? When I'm on the PC and click the audio icon in the traybar, I'd like to select the PowerNode 2i there as that's how I'd get the audio to play on the speakers.

Hello Mats,
To play audio from your PC to your Powernode 2i you have 3 options, a physical wired connection, Bluetooth or Airplay. If your PC and Powernode 2i are too far from each other to connect over Bluetooth, then my only other suggestion would be to run a cable between these 2 devices or use an application on your PC such as iTunes to send content over Airplay to your Powernode 2i.With that being said, none of these options will allow you to select the Powernode 2i as an output device through your PCs audio settings.

I could pull out the cables and drill a hole through the ceiling and into my wardobe and pull the cables there instead, that would make it possible to move the PowerNode to be in Bluetooth range. That is perhaps the only option?

I just tried moving a laptop there and connecting with blueooth, that lets me choose it as an output device.
So it seems then my only option drill some holes through the ceiling so I can move the Powernode into bluetooth range. I have a physical ethernet cable to the computer that I want to use, but a physical audio cable is not an option and as far as I can tell the applications I want to use does not support Airplay on WindowsC
