State of NAD C658 Roon support, missing Roon certification
BeantwortetI own a NAD C658 (current firmware BluOS 3.8.3) and a NAD C268.
I am using the product almost exclusively with Roon.
While the overall quality and sound of the product is excellent, the quality of NADs Roon integration is deeply unsatisfying. And while the product was clearly advertised as Roon compatible at the time of purchase (December 2019) the product is not listed by Roon as "certified".
While Roon integration with BluOS 3.8.3 mostly works it still takes several reboots of the C658 to discover the C658 (no matter if connected via Ethernet cable or wireles)
I would very much like a statement from NAD Electronics, Blusound or Lenbrook if and WHEN you will make serious attempts to fix the broken Roon support. There are tons of bug reports on these issues on the Roon websites support forum.
I am also fine with an honest answer and if you say you do not care about Roon support. In that case I would get rid of my NAD equipment.
Please take your time for an answer, but please do avoid evasive answers.

Hi Alexander, Thanks for your message.
The M10 and C658 and not Roon certified yet. To be accurate neither was officially posted or supported since they were released. The underlying RAAT support allows basic elements to automatically work, but requires cert and support to formally all work.
Roon support will be added for both models, the timeline is not set. We just released an update to Roon in BluOS 3.8 to align with a number of their updated requirements, but not all is finished. Roon is a great platform, and is growing and changing all the time as you are aware.
We don't publish timelines, to be direct, unless it is imminent, as things change all the time.

Just to advise all the NAD owners with Roon uncertified product : C658, M10, M33
Roon will stop supporting all uncertified products after the 21 september.
At the moment it will work but if you disable or remove from Roon after the 21 september you will not be able to active it anymore unless it's a certified Roon.
