help with node 2i

hello,

using a vintage luxman integrated to feed my node 2i and was wondering how to hook up an external dac to it for experimentation?  i obviously dont have the balanced outs like the newer amps do so utilizing rca to node. ive read folks use the optical from node to external dac then balanced cables back to amp. is there a solution?  thanks in advance

  When using an Optical or COAX output of the NODE will bypass the onboard DAC. At which point the decision is yours on how that DAC connects to the Amplifier. Keep in mind that if your external DAC does not support MQA, you will be limited to a single unfolding of up to 24/96 when listening to MQA. 

  Try both and let your ears decide.
