No bitrate, no sampling rate for Qobuz (reason to return unit?)
BeantwortetI have just installed a Node 2i into my signal chain in order to stream Qobuz. I was flabbergasted to learn that the bitrate and the sampling rate are not accessible from the controller app. I have streamed through a number of different platforms - Audirvana being the most recent - and EVERY ONE OF THEM has this information readily displayed,
Reading through previous postings, one of BS employees said something to the effect that BS customers don't want the clutter on the screen. Well, is Bluesound only interested in retaining customers who choose to remain clueless about the technical values of what they are listening to?
You might think this is not a practical matter. It is with Qobuz; often there are different versions of a release in different high res rates - I have seen number which have releases in the 24/96 and 24/192. How do I choose when the Bluesound controller has already decided that I don't need to know which is which.
I'm thinking about returning my unit for this very reason and this reason only. It sounds good and it connects flawlessly. I spent a lot of time researching this product and it is very disappointing to find such a basic flaw; one that should be simple to correct.

Hello Ken,
At this time the BluOS app does not give any readout of the current output bitrate. When streaming from Qobuz through BluOS, the BluOS app will automatically pull the highest available quality from Qobuz's servers depending on your subscription level selected when signing in to Qobuz through the BluOS app. With that being said, our Quality Assurance team has been made aware that there is interest in having bitrate displayed on the now playing screen and this request has been passed along to our engineering team for their consideration.

The same request for bit depth on Tidal too. Not just Qobuz.
