Good morning,
I'm writing to community to report a bad behaviour of Bluesound company about a problem with my Node 2 . I contacted Bluesound support indicating a problem about node's case becouse the plastic became sticky and I couldn't clean it with any product. They invited me to contact the Italian seller that asked me to send the unit to their store. I did it and the answer was:
"The problem you encountered is not recognized as a production defect and therefore any replacement of the body would be paid. The shell should be ordered directly in Canada and replaced by the authorized service center, with an overall cost of not less than 250 euros"
For me this is unacceptable becouse the unit has always been cleaned externally with water and a microfibre cloth paying close attention, the plastic has autonomously ruined, in fact the device has always been placed above the TV cabinet, therefore in a ventilated and free place of sources of heat nearby, the only possibility of ruining itself in this way is the poor quality of the plastic together with a particularly unfortunate model.
The company does not want to change the case on warranty time and I think this is not right. For me this is the last purchase from Bluesound, did you know that your competitors sell superior quality products at the same price?
I'm very disappointed with your behavior and I'm not the only one. Change as soon as possible your marketing policy becouse you're loosing buyers

Mine has been getting worse and worse over the years but now its at a point where its covered in cloth fibres with a mix of shiny and matte. No conclusive suggestion of what to do here, so I'll have to spot trial the things mentioned to see what will work best. I'll let you all know and add before/ after pictures. Would be nice if bluesound had just said, yes we understand these rubberised plastics have been found to be unstable, apologise and provide exact steps to rectify.

Isopropyl didn't seem to do a lot, but HG sticker removal got the job done ✅ I would suggest wearing a mask and gloves though, its rather pungent. Very disconcerting as it starts to peel like skin and i worried i would make it worse. Patience prevailed. Corners were tough and be careful on the back so you don't remove the graphics you need. You will lose the logo on the front as its on top of the coating 👍🏻
I did finish with a wipe over with isopropyl as it was picking up finger marks. Its not perfect as can see the cloth marks - maybe still drying out tbf. But its still matt, its not sticky and its uniform.Photos as promised, took about 40 mins

You need to go for de-natureized 97% alcohol, available in pharmacies or drugstores. Use a microfibre cloth, wet with the alcohol and rub severely. The sticky stuff will come off.

Had the same issue with white Powernode 2. Have managed to do a pretty decent job using a wet microfibre cloth with neat fairy liquid. Obviously need to be careful not to let the case get too wet, and have left doing the underside vents for obvious reasons, but has worked for me. Depending on your preference, the Bluesound logo remained intact...

I had the same problem - a sticky surface on my Node. As other people suggested, I used Isopropanol, or isopropyl, alcohol 99.9% and a cloth (actually an old T-shirt) and rubbed the surface to remove the sticky rubber coating. This worked well; it only took 20 minutes; it didn't take much effort. The Bluesound logo remains on the front panel. I was quoted £90 for a new casing plus shipping costs. The £9 Isopropyl bottle from Hexeal via Amazon was therefore a bargain!

Hi I had same problem I have the vault 2i in white. I tried rubbing alcohol. But that did not work for me. So I used Very fine sandpaper. Tried to send pictures but can't see how to do it.
