Bluos Controller for Windows 10 is very disappointing
BeantwortetI've just set up Bluos on Windows 10 to stream to a new NAD T758v3 AVR and it's very clunky, limited in features, and buggy. It's ridiculous that I had to go through that complicated process of adding my iTunes library as a network share. An app running locally on my PC should be able to find and stream my local music.
After 10-15 minutes it had indexed 500 of my 5385 songs so I left it to index overnight, only to find at least one album is missing from Bluos, despite definitely being there in iTunes. Who knows how many more are missing; I'll find out as I go to listen to them, I guess. Do I have to try re-indexing the entire library, with no guarantee that it will find them the second time around? Do I have to re-index each time I add a new album?
There is no context-sensitive help, so new users need to search the internet to find out what such settings as "Autofill" or "Enable DSD Playback" mean.
When opening the app, I can't do anything (such as check my library after indexing it overnight) without turning on the AVR. It just sits there giving me a spinning wheel of death, searching for players. When I do turn on the AVR, it continues to search for players. I need to close the app and re-start it.
Finally (for now), clearing the Play Queue doesn't work. The Play Queue remains with its list of songs, until I close and re-open the app.
I would consider buying one of the Bluesound hardware devices such as the Vault to store and stream my music, but I'd definitely need to see better software functionality and support before I'd make such an investment.

Hi David
I have escalated your issue to our support crew who will be happy to walk through your issues when they reach out to you directly.

Hi Tony, thanks for your reply. I can add to the list of issues: not only are some albums missing, but others are added twice. When playing them I get each song played twice.
Currently set myself up with Spotify Premium to stream to the device, which works seamlessly. Please be more like Spotify.
