Pulse Soundbar placement: above TV

Hi,

I’m considering a Pulse Soundbar for my TV. However, I have no room under my TV because it is part of a custom made cabinet. There is a shelf above the TV on which it can stand. The top of the TV is a little higher than ear level. And since the TV is located in the main living room a higher placement might also be better for audio perception when walking around or sitting at the table, rather than the couch. What will the effect be on sound quality in various scenarios? Any experience or suggestions from bluesound?
