Playlists with files from USB but shown globally
BeantwortetHi,
yesterday I tryed the USB file playback for testing and made a playlist with files from the USB drive. All finde works for the player the USB is connected. But today I played music on an other player and recognized that the playlist is shown there too. Of course selecting the playlist ist empty, but...
User of the system recognizing an empty playlist, pretty shure many of them will delete the playlist, but maybe one user wanted to keep this playlist for his player were the USB stick is connected.
So in my opiniion such only locally usable presets/playlists etc. should be only locally see and selectable, because globally shown but not globally useable will confuse users.
For example a family system some players in the house for all, but some players for an individual user kid1, kid2 maybe they have there own USB stick at the device and make there playlist. Mum and dad don't wanna have these playlists in there controllers.
The absolutely best would be if there an be global and user playlists, presets and Favorites, beside individual logins for musicservices, but lets see if first there can be a smaller step for the only locally usable sources like USB drives...

Hi Stefan
A USB drive connected to a single player is not available to all Players on your network, only the Player it is connected to.
This includes Playlists stored on that device; https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/articles/201158077
Consider plugging the USB drive into the USB port on your router and connecting to it as a NAS for a better experience.

Hi Tony,
yes, I know that and that's OK. It would be great if that could be added in the future, like HEOS because in some situations it could be useful, but I don't need that at the moment.
But selfmade playlists should also be only on the device the USB thumb is connected to and should not show up on all the other players which can't use it. But that's what I recognized, the other players show this playlist but it's empty.
