Win10 folder sharing - node2i does not find- yet aother BluOS NOT working feature
Beantwortethey,
I have spent 2 hours to get the node2 finding the shared Music folder on my Win10 PC ... the node 2 does not find it! ... and looking at the posts here, I am certainly not the only one. tried all kinds of settings..
the pdf description that I found on your homepage is outdated - homegrouping of network does not even exist anymore under win10 ! and it would be nice to get a german version! ( and other nationalities might agree for their respective language) .. and win10 in different languages actually looks different!
so please: send me description of how to do that in german! that actually allows me to listen to my music !(node2i, bluOS and Win10 are all running with the latest updates)
Note to the side:
It is not my only streaming device - have a pioneer and Linn - and I easily got all of them to do the job with apps that actually look nice and are user friendly.
I bought the Node2i more than year ago - looked at the app / looked at the way the Tidal app was implemented and so far only used it for spotify connect, because I don´t need the bluOS app for that!!.. was hoping the app had changed since then..but

Here is how Album Artwork is processed; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360000368827

hey,
no need to answer; I found a description for Win10 folder SMB sharing for copy machines / printers ... that worked now.
however, some of the album art is missing... most of my album art is either file embedded or jpg in the same folder... what does the node2 need to get the art?

Christoforos C,
Please can you share the SMB sharing solution as I also have the same problem and have not yet been able to solve it? I am sure others will be grateful too!

Hey Andrew,
I would love to share a detailed description - but I am not a super experienced IT person in order to provide that ( just a music lover ;-) ) and I cannot even remember what exactly I did:
I remember - one step is missing in the bluesound description where you need to create a new user ( or better add your account, which usually also is the admin account, as user) at a certain point, but seriously, am sorry, I forgot where that was... they have this "Guest" account in the bluesound desription which I never had.. so
all I did was search for" Win10 SMB folder sharing for music streaming" (maybe also used the term SAMBA sharing - that is the protocoll used) ... found a youtube video for SMB sharing to copy/printer machines - followed these steps - It worked!

Gentlemen
I have escalated both your issues to our Support Crew - we will be in touch.
Christoforos - the protocol has nothing to do with it. 1s and 0s are 1s and 0s. There is something odd going on. When you receive the support request in your e-mail, please reply with details about your connection and set up such as the connection method to your system etc.
Thanks for your patience.
