latest BluOS update
BeantwortetSorry folks,
yesterday night I updated my BluOs on my ipad. What happend: in portrait orientation the music cover shows bigger than in landscape orientation and what is much much worse: where did the playqueue go? I mean the one on the bottow with the covers showing in small dimension which I could scroll foward AND backward and could so easily foresee an upcoming title which I maybe wanted to skipp.
I mean, who needs the cover in a misty look behind the cover, like on itunes or other apps.
To me this really is not an update but rather a sad "downdate" and I really really hope that "permanent evolution" as you call it does not evolve versus bader performance and handling but keeps the features that are good and improves them and maybe introduces new features.
Sorry having to tell you this so straight.
Sascha

Everyone
Thank you for your continued patience on this matter.
Our Quality Assurance Team has identified the root cause and our Software Development Team is looking to push an update out as quickly as possible.

I have exactly the same problem. I have an Ipad 2 - 9.7 inch.
I do think thou that they are aware of the problem, so lets hope they will fix it soon.

I too have the same experience. so we must assume it’s a bug. Or something that didn’t make the release since some changes has been made to the look of the interface. I have a 10.5 pro 2017 model.
The iPad loses quite some excellence as controller without the added information and not making use of the available screen space.
Surprisingly the landscape mode on an iPhone remains unchanged and works as is expected.
Bluesound, please release a fix for iPad asap!

Hello,
Today an update fixed the skip buttons. When will the iPad landscape layout return to its original state? It’s still just a blown-up iPhone screen. Is that the next update? Why not repair all in one update? There has been quite a number of updates lately. I prefer to have one update every couple of months, maybe adding a feature.
Cheers,

Hi Diederik
Some bugs are tricky than others. The nice part about App updates is we can publish the releases when they are ready rather than batch them as they are not disruptive to your listening experience.

Hi Tony,
You’re quick. Almost weekend for you?
The music is still playing with current app. :) But I mean if updates are so frequent and pushed (sometimes at least) testing might be limited. Which results in these kind of unintended flaws in the interface for example. Apparently fixing is is more complicated than just putting the code back.
My weekend will be good regardless the app ;) As will yours hopefully!
Cheers,

Hi, how is the team’s progress doing?
Isn’t it about time the functions on iPad’s big screen get restored?

Hi Tony or peer,
Any update on the time frame for the restoration of the play(list) queue in the landscape (and portrait) iPad view?
Highly appreciated; the blown up Iphone screen is just missing any purpose. The iPad app was a breeze and way more useful a few iterations (about a month and a half) ago. You said the root cause was identified, but isn’t it just removed functionality from the interface?
Cheers,

Hi Tony,
I sent two screenshots (iPad Pro 2017 and iPhone SE) with the report of the “bug” to the e-mail address on Tuesday. No response until now. Did it arrive?
Checked the version of the iPad app and it is the latest, but no queue at the bottom in both landscape and portrait.
I found another glitch in the iPhone app while making the screenshots. When I turn to landscape on iPhone (SE), then return to portrait and then swipe left to see the rooms, the rooms view is blocked by an empty black box. It will stay there until the app is restarted.
Sorry to report that the app has introduced some major disadvantages (on iPads especially) in the latest updates. Go back to a few iterations back please and “try” again.
Cheers,

Hi,
We received another update of the app recently. The interface is still not resolved. I have sent screendumps to your colleague some time ago and it had been forward to your dev team. Buit still only iPhone still has these screens. The iPad still is a blown up phone screen making no use of alle the space...
Any schedule for bringing back the overview?

well, now it is me saying that I have exact the same problem and disappointment as Diederik. I updated eagerly, but still the same problem on my Ipad: NO playqueue on the botton side with cover miniatures, neither in horizontal, nor in vertical orientation. Can't wait the app to returning good again.
