Tidal MQA passthrough from Node N100 to Mytek Brooklyn
BeantwortetHello! I have the chance to get a decent deal on a Bluesound Node N100, but am struggling to find info online if it's possible to passthrough MQA to an external DAC via optical.
What I'd like to do is use Roon as my source, the N100 as my streamer and output via toslink to a Mytek Brooklyn for full MQA goodness. Does anyone know if this is possible or do I need a Node2? Thanks!

Hello Mike,
If your external DAC is MQA certified and you would like it to handle your MQA decoding and rendering, you can do so by enabling the MQA External DAC option in the audio settings of your N100. Before enabling this setting you will need to have your Node connected to your external DAC from the optical out port and enable Output Level Fixed in the audio settings of your Node. To find the audio settings in the BluOS app, please go to Settings > Player > Audio and from here you will see both the options for Output Level Fixed and MQA External DAC.With both of these settings enabled and your Node connected to your external DAC over optical, the Node will then pass and MQA content directly to your DAC to be decoded and rendered.
I hope this helps to clarify but please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.

Can you let me know if Mytek Liberty can process MQA via its optical input?
