Fixed groups + Optical Input
BeantwortetHi
I've created a stereo fixed group with two powernode 2's, I had some problems at first but now it seems to be working and sounds great. I do have one question though.
At the moment only the right powernode 2 will accept an optical input for my TV. With a fixed group does one speaker/amp become the master/controller? Is it possible for me to use the optical input of the left powernode of the pair.
I would like to add though for others interest, vertically bi-amping two powernode 2's does improve sound noticeably. Greater channel separation, which adds more detail and obviously some more power.
I have not tried horizontally bi-amping.

Hi Scott
When creating a Fixed Group, the player first selected is the Primary Player. This Primary Player's inputs are what is used. If you want the Left Player to have the TV connected to it, destroy your Fixed Group and then re-create it but this time, have the Left Player selected when creating the Fixed Group.

Hi Scott, i have a question about the 2 powernodes as stereo pair.
I 2 have 2 powernodes 2's created as stereo pair, 1 powering the left and the other the right speaker, the only problem i have is that the stereo image is of and all over the place/strange phase switching on the first 15 to 20 seconds on every new song i play.
Tried everything, powernodes are hardwired on network, factory reset the powernodes, resetted router, checked the igpm etc, on wifi the same, i cannot seem to get it right and rit of the phase/stereoimage switching, as if it is syncing between both powernodes and takes 20 sec per song to get it right. Sometimes it behaves like that a whole song, no matter the source, tidal, qobuz, spotify etc..How is/was yours doing with stereoimage/phasing?
Kind regards,

Robert,
I'm not Scott, but may I jump in and ask if you have you tried toggling either A/V Mode or Compressed Group Audio for the Optical input on both Powernodes? You can find this feature under Settings > Player > Customize Sources > Optical Input.

Hi Sam R,
Thanx for your reply.
The A/V mode or compressed group audio for the optical input doesnt effect the streaming from tidal/qobuz/spotify so even if i would change it it would still be the same.
I just gave up on the 2 Powernodes combined.
I purchased a Node 2i and 2xNAD C268 to achieve my bi-amping.Kind regards,
Robert0
