Powernode 2i
Hi,
I have recently purchased a Powernode 2I and surprisingly can’t find any detail technical info or brochure on its specs.
Apart from 60x2 at 8ohms, what is the power rating for 4 and 2 ohms and their IHF dynamic power respectively. Is the amp section similar to NAD D3045, since it’s also rated at 60w@8 ohms.
Is the MQA digital filter for the DAC applied only on mqa files or is it active all the time.
Are the analogue inputs converted to digital or left in the analogue domain.
What is the best way to connect a powered sub. RCA mono on the amp to mono Input on sub or to low level R&L inputs on the sub. What is the Low pass frequency? Is there an option to set a high pass frequency to main speakers.
Are the main speakers receiving the full frequency range when a sub is connected but NO Subwoofer option is selected in audio settings.
Thanks.

Hi Kiran
The POWERNODE 2/2i is roughly 120W at 4 Ohms or 240W at 2 Ohms.
The MQA Decode only happens on MQA Files - Non MQA Files do not include MQA requirements. Filter is really not the right word you are looking for - please see www.mqa.co.uk for more details.
Analogue inputs are not a pass through, they ar converted to 24/192 via a Burr-Brown ADC with a >100dB signal to Noise ratio.
On the POWERNODE 2/2i, directly connect the SUB-WOOFER to the Player using a Sub woofer cable to the sub out. On the VAULT 2/2i or NODE 2/2i, it depends on the Amp used and how you are controlling the volume.
The SUB port is always active, but with SUB-WOOFER On then all <80Hz frequencies are diverted from the mains so you can drive them...
