A LOT of Problems
BeantwortetI have a Bluesound installation that has a Windows PC (Controller) and the following 3 devices: Node2 (via Ethernet), Pulse2 (Wifi) and a Pulse-Flex2i (Wifi) and I'm having the following issues:
1- The Database - I initially had issues with the share permissions but got that resolved. The Node2 reindexed/rebuilt my library database rather quickly and I can see the Library when I select that device via my iPad. This did not populate to the other devices in the network. All devices can communicate to each other just fine. I went into each device and had to go to Music Library > Reindex Music Collection on the Pulse2 and the Pulse-Flex2i which are both connected via Wifi; this is taking a very long time as well. I thought the library database, once indexed would populate to other devices in the network. What's wrong here?
2 - Tidal Playlists - It only shows the first 5, but clicking the "Show All" doesn't result in Bluesound showing all the playlists in my Tidal collection. Is this a bug?
3 - Tidal Playlists - Lack of functionality and syncing. I did go to Music Sources > Tidal and "Update", but the recent changes I made to my playlist do not show up. Why is this?
3 - Auto Update - The devices auto-update firmware, but the controller running on Windows does not auto-update. Seems a bit dangerous to update your firmware without updating the controller, especially if there are dependencies between the two. Are you going to fix this?
I've searched the forums for these issues and there's not much on it other than old posts. What the current status now and are you working on these issues, aware of them even?

Hi Bryan
Please select Help, Diagnostics, Rebuild Index. If the issues on replication continue please select Help, Send Support Request so we can troubleshoot viewing the log report.
Question 2 and 4 are resolved if you uninstall the App and download a new version from bluesound.com/downloads both these have been resolved and going forward with the fix in option 4 you will be notified of App updates.
Question 3 is a limitation of TIDAL's API that changes you make in your TIDAL app are not communicated from TIDAL Servers to our App. We are working with TIDAL on an update that will have this happen but that change has to happen at their end first. Please let them know as it will help us show it is something our mutual consumers want.

Thank you Tony. Very helpful. I updated to the latest controller version (I was running the previous version) and that combined with your suggestions have resolved the majority of these issues.
This may be news to you, but as of today, changes made to Tidal playlists DO propagate, it just takes about 5-10 minutes (sometimes sooner).
That said, Tidal playlist functionality is limited. I created a new playlist using the Blusound controller software for Windows and created the playlist as a Tidal playlist. The issue I ran into is that I was unable to delete duplicates and other songs from that playlist using the Bluesound controller software. In order to fix this, I had to use the Tidal application.

Yeah QA just let me know this yesterday when I fact checked it as well...
