Pulse 2 - Plastic protector on touch panel?

Hello!

This may sound like a stupid question, but hear me out.

Is there a removable plastic protector on the Pulse 2 touch panel, or is this part of the panel?

I ask since mine has started to "bubble" (see picture below). I've tried to peel from the edges, but it seems that the plastic film is either glued or stuck.

I am hesitant to use too much force, since some touch screens on mobile phones (e.g. Galaxy Fold) has a plastic layer on top, which when removed will completely break the screen.

My Powernode 2i had a plastic protector and it came right off.
Would appreciate any input on this.

  Yes there is a protective film on here as part of the packaging and can safely be peeled away.
