    Hi Mbrules

You are not wrong. We continue to keep adding services but so as not to leave you waiting for the ones we are still speaking with, we included Bluetooth. Here's how; www.bluesound.com/bluetooth.

Since you have a 2i Player, if your an iOS user we have taken it one step further with AirPlay 2 on our newest line up.

I assume the lack of SiriusXM streaming is due to financial reasons (i.e. Bluesound doesn't want to pay up). I can't imagine XM not wanting their subscribers to be able to stream using whatever devices they may already own.  For some people (like me) SiriusXM is a vital part of their entertainment cache. Going the bluetooth route is a total annoyance. Your competitors like Sonos, Heos and even the devices using crappy DTS Play-Fi all stream XM. If it's a technical thing, then hurry to get a fix. Don't lose market share if you don't have to.

It will be a nice feature if/when it's available.

(i.e. Bluesound doesn't want to pay up)

I assure you this is not the issue - that being said we hear you Doug and continue to add as many services as we can.

Especially when I live around the corner from PSB and NAD head office. sorry guys dish up the money and get with it you know how many people are going to listen to XM radio on bluesound if you do what's your problem sorry

Again - it's not about the money...

We continue to work with XM Radio and have made good progress since their reorganisation. Their concentration though is focused mostly on the automotive business and collecting a subscription fee with every new car buyer. Traditional home audio takes much longer in their marketspace.

New bluesound convert here, just wanted to voice my support for adding Sirius XM, I found a work around with the chromecast audio but it is very clunky at best. Hopefully whatever is holding up a Bluesound/Sirius XM partnership is ironed out soon and we can have it on the bluos app. If it helps let me know who I can write to over at Sirius XM other than there normal general support channels.

Loving the Bluesound by the way, solid reliable system!

With everybody stuck inside maybe Sirius would be more anxious to get their platform on to as many home devices as possible. Nudge Nudge, I am nudging Sirius as well don't feel singled out.

I am not blindly loyal to any one system or any onet I was buying Apple laptops in the early-mid 2000s and I believe that for probably a decade Apple made the best laptops on the planet it was just so far ahead of its time but Windows has come a long way and we think Apple is overpriced user-friendly crap. And I couldn't justify buying a MacBook pro when I got a fully loaded Dell XPS 15 that in all honesty will eat a MacBook pro for at least $1,000 less money
My point is I go with whatever is the best or works for me and can change loyalty. Regarding your comment on Chromecast I played around with using Chromecast as a home sound system and didn't have much luck like you said it was clunky and awkward real glitchfest. I was using a Samsung Galaxy S8 plus as the Android device for Chromecast and then I got a pixel 4 XL and I'll tell you I think that although the pixel has been knocked a little bit what sets it apart is state-of-the-art software whatever they're doing is working because I use Chromecast dongles hooked up to grandfathered Denon and marantz and dynaudio that are 10 to 30 years old and of course they sound amazing I don't think I would ever buy Wi-Fi speakers you can buy way better speakers and make them wifi whether it's with Denon Heos link ir bluesound node or Sonos connect preamps.
I would buy bluesound nodes probably over others if it had better app selection particularly XM which I use all the time I like the feel of it being like true radio rather than playlists. Probably the only thing stopping me from going out and buying maybe three bluesound nodes and hooking them up to my systems throughout the house is the lack of XM although I do use many  other we services as well, if course

Another voice for Sirius XM. Maybe it's the COVID19 that gets people to look at their audio systems, as it seems there is a lot of activity at this front. In any case, this would be a dealmaker for me. To be fair, I also sent a request to Sirius XM support and I advice others to do the same.

mbrules  being unbeholdent to a brand is exactly what brought me to bluesound, I had a house full of Sonos products trhat are actually sitting in a closet right now, I swore them off when they pulled there planned obsolecence stunt. I was happy with Sonos except for the fact that they didnt belive in supporting higher bit rate audio, I have sworn off many companies. I havent bought a samsung product in 7 years because they wouldnt stand behind a laptop with a defective keyboard I bought from them.

I too do not use wifi speakers, I bought (5) node 2 to feed the various audio set ups I have around the house, chrome cast I use all around my house for video and yes it is solid as anything altough I am still using my Pixel 2.  I have one chromecast audio that i was playing with a few years ago, this is the device I connected to my node that i use with the patio, the clunkness I am refering to has to do with using too many apps on my phone to control it.

I like everything to be unified one app to control it all, to chrome cast to the dongle and than switch to bluos to change the volume and then switch back to change stations... you get the picture.

I have had Sonos, and experimented with a free heos connect  (also in the closet) when i bought my Marantz pre pro some years ago, sonos is dead to me and the heos was a reasonable facsimile to the sonos but I didnt like it beacause it was missing some feature like a sleep timer and they dont do Qobuz. Chrome cast audio dongles could of worked but they stopped making them and they dont have one central app to navigate the different audio apps.

There was no perfect solution, I chose Bluesond because

    1. They still support there first gen products

    2. They support hires audio minus DSD (but at least they gave us a work around for that)

    3.The app is rock solid

    4. Great compatibilty with roon

I decided I would be able to live with out the sirus XM, but being that there seems to be a glimmer of hope I thought I would be the squeky wheel.

Yes I agree bluesound is great but no XM. Bluesound is my preference but won't by bluesound without xm support

Yes, exactly. I am sure we are also not the only ones, but only the ones, who care enough to create login without buying one yet. Many people have XM because of their cars (like me); it's just huge minus not to be able to use it at home.

I know it's possible to use it with bluetooth, but for me the big one is really Alexa compatibility. I want to be able to tell Alexa to play XM and I don't think that works with bluetooth.

My guess is this is mostly about XM, though. I am sure Bluesound would love to have them, but they are just not a priority for XM. That's why I emailed XM, too.

Denon has a network player at a similar price, which does pretty much the same stuff + XM. Might be worth considering, although there are not that many reviews for it. I would be more comfortable with Bluesound. Maybe need to wait the next generation devices and see what becomes available, and continue using chromecast until then.

It's XM it's like a grocery store not selling bread. And of course I don't know the inside story but bet for some reason it's XM that doesn't want Bluesound not Bluesound that doesn't want XM. Or Bluesound won't pay what XM wants

Another voice of support for Siruis XM radio.  Not the first place I go to get music, but it has its advantages (uncomplicated when I am too lazy to choice something specific).  Have grown to love my Node 2i and use a lot.  Wanted to add my support for the continued improvement of the product.

+1 for XM support. It is a must have for the WAF. She refuses to let me move on from Sonos if whatever new product I buy doesn't have XM built in.
