BluOS Controler: Player / Default ON | OFF

Dear all,

There is a strange switch called "Default" in the BluOS Controller for Windows (reachable via: Settings / Player)

It can be switched for each player individually, either to "active" or "inactive".

However, that switch is not present on the iOS Controller and neither on the web interface of the BluOS devices itself.

What is this switch doing exactly in the BluOS Controller for Windows?

  Hi Manfred

  This option is only available in the Windows and Mac versions of the App. Selecting Default enabled sets that current Player to always be selected first when you first launch the App rather than the first Player it finds as it does in the Mobile App or when no default Player is selected...

  Dear Product Support,

  I am using

  

  and cannot get the default switch to work as expected. I can switch it on for my preferred player, but when I open up the player setting menu for that player again, the switch is off.

  I'm having an issue that involves the Selecting Default option on an 24" 2021 iMac running Mac OS Sonoma (14.4.1) and the BluOS Controller app 4.2.1.
  
  Even though I've toggled my BlueSound Vault on as the default player on my iMac, the My Players button bottom right switches players constantly. This happens even while my Vault is playing music that I chose through the BluOS Controller on my iMac that I see playing in the app.
  
  So, I might walk away for a moment to find upon my return that the BluOS Controller has changed its current player to a different BlueSound player in my home (I have 6 of them, 2 of which are grouped as one). These changes of player seem to be totally random, and they happen quite frequently.
  
  It's a drag, because if I want to a play a different tune through my BluOS Controller on my iMac, I need to check the selected player again and again, which seems to make the Default Player toggle in the app ineffective altogether.
  
  Please advise?

  Please see the official comment - the default player is when you first launch the App but may vary through network discovery when the App is open.
