Agree @Thierry. I'm considering buying the new Nad M10 because of streaming (integrated bluesound), however - if this issue is not resolved / improved on, then i'd rather sell my current bluesound setup.

We need an easy ("one click") way to select the right combination of speakers.

This conversation keeps on going and everytime we have to explain the problem again. So I don’t get the feeling something is happening with our comments. And again, it has nothing to do with Spotify. Just have a look how Google or Sonos works...it should be easy. One speaker in multiple groups without grouping/ungrouping each time.

Guys, thanks for the suggestions. This form of grouping - whatever you want to call it, 'Favorites' or 'Scenes' - is a direction we need to move. Tony and I initially started 'chewing' on this idea of scenes over a year ago and this thread has only added to the priority/urgency.

However, as I'm sure you can understand, from a software perspective BluOS Grouping is built a certain way right now, and changing the Grouping logic is no trivial task. Like Tony mentioned, he's forwarded the ideas to the dev team and we're looking at it. The feature will get slotted into a priority list that our BluOS product team manages. Rest assured, it's on the list - this thread doesn't fall on deaf ears!

I manually change my speakers from "home theater" to "4 channel stereo" at least once a day. Glad to see there is traction on this topic.

It would be great to have speakers added to multiple groups, for example like Google Home supports this.

It’s now 9 months ago the request was submitted...any updates?

I fully expected this to work when buying this product. Great sound, but this feature will make me recommend it to others (and not recommend if not solved). Hope to see it very soon, bit of a disappointing aspect for now..!

+1 from me. I have 1 soundbar and 2 pulse flex in the same room. If I want surround sound I have to create a fixed group. But then if I want to listen to music on all speakers I have to ungroup the fixed group....and then do it all over again for surround if i want surround sound. What a hassle! Made me very dissapointed, and can not recommend this system for anyone in my situation. This must be fixed, and should have prio 1 for development. Very happy user of Bluesound otherwise, but this made me unhappy.

Now that we have a connection with Google assistant. Could you please make it so that they can be seen in the Google home app and make it possible to make speaker groups like with any other Google speakers. That should also solve above issues.
    Eagerly awaiting your reply!

This needs to be fixed in the Bluesound app / BluOS. While Google users might benefit from Kenneth T's suggestion, it should be fixed at the root, in the Bluesound app (and BluOS). A Google-only solution would not benefit me, and surely others. However, this Google assistant traction might push this issue up the development list.

I'm really sorry lads, but I sense that BlueSound does not give a shit about one of their core problems.
Going into 2020 I think it's time for people to switch to Sonos, atleast that's what I'm gonna do.

    It's been a pleasure, tally-ho!

Unfortunately, getting to the point of jumping ship as well :(
Also just had an update make my players unable to connect to WiFi...

I did just that - after a few weeks of frustration I returned my Bluesound set up and changed to Sonos instead. With Sonos it just works every time, you never need to regroup anything.

A bit sad though since I love the sound of Bluesound which is better that Sonos. But the ease of use with Sonos just compensate all that - they are miles ahead when it comes to software and ease of use. And sounds good enough also.

Unfortunately I have a similar post open for roughly 18 months now without any concrete progress/commitment whatsoever.
This situation continuous to frustrate me therefore I am hesitant to expand/update my set and am considering to jump the ship as well. On a positive note I really enjoy the sound quality and design. Please fix this issue Bluesound!

    Hi all,

I'm not sure where the sentiment comes from that we don't give a s*** about our customers. You are the very reason we create products - because we know there are discerning listeners who actually care about sound quality. We also know that there is only so far that sound quality can go, if certain features or software expectations are not present. We get it.

Is our product perfect? No. Do we constantly make improvements? Yes. Do we listen to our customers? Yes, always. Does your specific want/need always line up with our global priorities? No, not always.

    More specifically to this thread...

Do we want you to have the ability to use your Bluesound product in multiple groups? Yes, and we want it too. Are we working on it? Yep, we are. Can we give you an exact release date? Nope, there are too many variables that go into a BluOS release for us to do that right now. I posted earlier in this thread how non-trivial this type of grouping development is. That fact hasn't changed. This feature affects almost EVERYTHING else the software touches, because grouping is so foundational to a product range like ours.

Jumping ship to an alternative audio option to start 2020 is certainly your decision to make. Who are we to stop you if our product truly doesn't meet your needs? However, I hope that whether you decide to go somewhere else, or you decide to stick it out with us, that you understand we truly put everything we have into creating products that help you hear and experience your music in the best way possible.

Thank you all for your continued 'push' to create a better product, and thank you all for your support.

    Hi

How is it going with fixing this issue which many seems to be waiting for?

I was about to go and purchase a Sonos system when I compared the Sonos One and your Pulse Flex player.
The Pulse Flex definitely sounds better and have these 5 presets buttons which I think is a really good feature when you just want to hit a button and listen to your favorite radio station or whatever.
However, you must fix these multi grouping features if I am going to invest in a full wireless multi room speaker system from Bluesound!

So fix the request above and also make sure that you can use the preset buttons not only to select the content (spotify list, radio channel etc) but also that you select the user configured speaker group.

So for example, hitting preset button no.1 starts a defined content to be played through a defined group. Pressing button no.1 again stops the music/sound to be played through that group (not only stops it on the Pulse Flex which I press). If I want to mute just the Puls Flex I can push the Play/Pause button. This is not, to my understanding, working today but it is something you should add when you now re-design the multi speaker grouping functionality.

Finally I heard rumors that you can only use the SUB with the Soundbar. I hope I have misunderstood this?

If not, this is truly a must fix too.

    Max

    Hello Max,

The Pulse Sub and Pulse Soundbar are designed to connect wirelessly with each other. However, if you would like to connect a Pulse Sub to another Bluesound player, you will require an RT100 to allow the player to wirelessly connect to the Pulse Sub as well.

    Regards,
    Wesley P.

I support this request 100%. Must say, I just assumed this feature was available, seems pretty basic from a customer experience point of view?

Antknee Williamson and @Matt - What is the current status on this issue?

I understand you can't commit to an exact release date but what is the ballpark estimate? Are we talking weeks, months or years here?

A few months from now is acceptable but if an update that sorts out this problem is 9-12m away, I'm afraid I'd also have to jump ship.

    Thanks

    /Claes

Bought a lot of bluesound stuff for my new home. Expected this feature was already supported. In my case I want to be able to use my speakers for home theater and for music. If I play music then I wish to do this with all speakers , rears included. Would be nice to see an update on development once a while. Some sort of road map would be interesting too. I love the speakers, too bad I am only using half of the half of the time.

    +1 for this too.

+1 on this! The beautiful thing I hoped would work with my bluesound setup was to detach my Pulse Flexes from my TV surround setup and plug them into my PC. Turns out this is not possible even via 3.5mm cable which is pretty counterintuitive to what one might think is possible before buying. The company I bought my setup from even said it would be possible haha so I’ve been pretty tricked here.

But I appreciate that it’s not an easy fix and hope that it will be possible to implement. We appreciate your work! On all other fronts I couldn’t be happier with my setup :)
