How do I delete individual songs from playlists using iOS controller on iPad?

    HI Anthony

    Thanks for the kind words. With the Playlist Loaded, from the Now Playing Screen, select List Mode (3 lines in top right of Play Queue) on your iPhone. On an iPad, List mode is already showing by default. Swipe the undesired song to the left and press delete. Update your Playlist by selecting Save.

    Don't you think this could be much more user-friendly if we could have a check box on the left of each line for multiple selection and delete multiple tracks at once ? Deleting tracks one by one is really a pain in the a**

    For example, if we want to keep only a few tracks from a very long playlist it is actually not easy, almost impossible. Or just a matter of time or real motivation... But with a check box (like in gmail for example), then a "select all / unselect all" main option we could easily "select all" then unselect the few tracks we want to keep, then delete selected ones. Does it sounds good for you too ?

    Another good thing would be to be able to trash the actual playlist (like today) but automatically keep playing the actual playing track, so, meanwhile we listen music we can start a new playlist construction. At present, if we trash the playing playlist, music just stop.

    Have you considered going the other direction and taking the small handful of songs, open the context menu and create a New Playlist by selecting Add to Playlist?

    Thanks for the tip, but again neither on android nor iOS it is possible to select multiple tracks. Huge amount or like you said "small handful of songs". Or I still can't find how. I don't see anyway to go other way than one by one.
    And i still can figure why we can't modify a playlist (modify means in that case, rearrange order or deleting tracks, not adding songs) without sanding the playlist first in the Playing playlist first, then save it again under initial name.

    I understand there is a bluesound way to do, but we have to admit that even if quality of sound is here, there is place for improving the user experience through mobile interface. I don't want to look rude (English is not my birth language and I do not use it very well), it is not my intention to sound rude or rough. On the contrary, I would like to give you (BS developpers team) a great motivation to give even more desire for being the best (not only for sound quality) and not rest on your laurels ^^
    I am listening dematerialized music since 1997, and after some years of using winamp or other players, I found Foobar2000 that was far beyond all others, both in terms of audio quality and the power of its particular management of the playlists (auto playlists based on tags or manual playlists).
    The tags of the audio files are a mine of gold that it remains only to exploit ... What the developers of foobar understood is that it is impossible to provide an interface which pleases to all. On the other hand it is possible to allow everyone to find happiness by fully exploiting the potential of tags.

    In short, I'm on your side and I sincerely cross the fingers so that Bluesound has a long life, but I sincerely hope that the interface will be revolutionized one day ^^, keeping the all good, and pushing the limit a step ahead.

    Curtis Head, you are wrong sir. You said that you do not use the English language well. I disagree, you use it far better than many people for whom it is their birth language. Kudos to you sir.

    I am trying to figure how to delete a song from a playlist. Tried the swipe left thing. Nothing. Tried it on my iPhone and my Mac desktop, and was unable to get anywhere. Am I missing something?

    As mentioned, the Playlist must be loaded in the Queue.

    I don't have any playlist, just a song on the bottom of the screen, and I can't get rid of it.  It keeps playing all by its own, full blast volume, whenever I switch something on Airplay.  It's a real pain.  Is there anything I can do or do I need to hard-reset the bluenode 2i?

    Hi Stan

    The song appearing at the bottom of your screen is in your playlist. Tap it to activate the now playing screen, press the list icon in the header to view the Queue.

    If the problem persists or you need more assistance, please select Help, Send Support Request so our Support Crew can see your system log.

    Thanks, I now discovered where it is coming from:

    Apple TV includes the U2 Album in the Music app.  Whenever you watch Netflix and the movie ends, or you navigate around the Netflix movie icons, Apple TV begins to play the Music app automatically. 

    This means it is not something in the playlist, it's Apple TV streaming to the node without me asking for it. 

    Solution:  I deleted the U2 Album which I never asked for and that Apple is providing automatically on all their devices.

    There is no setting on Apple TV that allows to prevent the Music App from starting to play for no reason.

    I have finally managed to delete a song.  I simply can not understand why you make it so incredibly difficult.  Plus in your replies above you use words that we ( your customers) don’t understand.  Please provide screenshots to indicate what you mean. You say now save your playlist, which button does this?Your technology is really great, please make the explanations easier or simply have a delete button from playlist just under add to playlist, I cannot believe that would be too hard!

    How is it so ridiculously difficult to remove a song from a playlist?  I still don't see a clear explanation of how to remove a song.  It's so easy on every other platform.

    Play queue is not the same as playlist. It’s 2023 and I can’t seemingly delete a track from a third party playlist.
