Hi Mark,
Thank you for your feedback regarding this issue you are experiencing. Our quality assurance is investigating and working towards a fix in the future release. -
I’m still having the same kind of issue and I’m honestly really frustrated now.
It’s not only my Sub+ anymore. I’ve had problems with my rear Flex 2i speakers, and I’ve recently noticed issues with another stereo pair as well. In the stereo pair, the Volume Limit only works if I set it before creating the pair. If I set the limit afterwards, the balance gets messed up and one speaker suddenly jumps to full volume whenever I change the master volume.
So this feels like a bigger ecosystem problem where grouped speakers do not keep their volume settings and some channels suddenly go to maximum when the volume is adjusted. All of this started after the firmware updates last summer. Before that, everything worked perfectly.
I have opened several tickets with Bluesound support, sent diagnostics and followed a lot of different “try this” steps. Every time I’m asked to test something new. I’m just a home user – I can’t keep doing free QA work forever. At some point the issue simply needs to be fixed in firmware.
My Sub+, which I bought in the summer, has been unused for months because of this, and now my other speakers are affected too. I was planning to buy the new Pulse Cinema soundbar, but I’ll wait until these problems are actually solved before putting more money into the system. It’s a real shame, because I really enjoyed my Bluesound setup before these issues began.
