    UPDATED OFFICIAL COMMENT

Thank you all for your continued patience. On Tuesday, October 7th, look for an update to BluOS 4.12.11 that will address both changes to subwoofer levelling and resolve an issue affecting older DIRAC filters on new DIRAC libraries. This BluOS wide release will bring NAD 2-channel products back in line with Bluesound and other BluOS-supported products, including Qobuz Connect, Spotify Lossless and the new Queue Builder Mode released in late September. Look for an update notification within 24 hours of approximately 9:00 am tomorrow, Eastern North American Time.

    Hi Ronald

Please select Settings, Send Support Request in the BluOS App, so our good friends down the hall at NAD Electronics can take a closer look

Can I somehow go back to the old SW version?

My M10 V2 has the same phenomenon. I made a support ticket.

Thank you all for your patience and a special thanks to those of you who submitted logs to our friends at NAD Electronics. Our Quality Assurance Team has identified an issue with DIRAC on NAD 2-channel chassis with a subwoofer attached and has paused the update.

If you have already submitted a Support Request on this matter, our Support Crew will be reaching out to you regarding next steps until we are able to publish a fix.

If you have not already done so, please feel free to submit a request using the BluOS App (Settings, Send Support Request) with the subject matter starting DIRAC 4.12.4 Subwoofer followed by your model of chassis. This will allow us to escalate you to NAD Level 2 support and get to you as quickly as possible.

We do apologise for the inconvenience and thank you again for your patience.

Two days ago, my Bluos app told me there was an update. Usually I delay to avoid frequent new problems (it's quite a constant). Today the same app (android and ios) tell me there aren't updates available.

Now I see it's related to the reported problem in topic...

Also, it's not the first time that problems related to Dirac use came out with updates, you should better test your releases and possibly try to solve other old problems, still present, exemple: restart of Bluos MDC2 card if signals at 88.2KHz or 176.4KHz are sent to toslink input, or random (luckily rare) slight crackling clipping noise on any input if signal is 88.2KHz or 176.4KHz and Dirac is on.

Dirac is one of the main reasons I chose my C3050LE and I think for many others users too, therefore it should be one of the main focuses for your FW developers.

    Regards

Fully agree with @Luciano Merighi, I would suggest more QA/QC involvement before an update is released.

Correct - we have paused the release on affected models. Please see my official comment.

Hvornår kan vi forvente at det virker ordentligt igen så

Why is the official comment not linked from the 4.12.4 release notes but buried in an individual support thread? The best action after a problematic release is transparency.

7 days later, still no new firmware update to solve these bugs.

9 actually - Since I see you have not opened a Support Request as suggested above, I have taken the liberty of opening one for you - our Support Crew will be in touch via e-mail to assist you.

Hello. I would like to know if there is news about the 4.12.4 firmware update. I have a NAD M10 V3, and the latest update available is 4.10.19. Even without availability to use qobuz connect.

Before updating, I'm waiting for volunteers to test for Dirac issues. Please do so and let we know... 😎

I updated my NAD M33 to BluOS 4.12.11 and have no problems with Dirac (I don't use a subwoofer). Qobuz Connect works very well.
There is one small issue: The NAD M33 loses its language settings (see https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/de/community/posts/35543053429399/comments/35564835742615 ).

I have had problem with Dirac and C389/399 giving crackling noice intermittently on certain files. Now tested 4.12.11 intensively for one week on especially earlier files showing this problem. No problems observed during this test. Thanks for the update!

Ok, perfection it's not an human thing but...

I upgraded to 4.12.11 on my C3050LE and with subwoofer "On", Dirac works as expected but if I set subwoofer "Off", Dirac stops working and after a while even the Dirac menu voice desappears. If I set subwoofer back on and I jump back in the audio menu, Dirac voice reappears and can operate regularly

So, it's impossible to operate with Dirac, without subwoofer, just on main speakers. Luckily my normal use is with subwoofer.

Meanwhile, toslink input started to work even with 88.2KHz and 176.4KHz while Dirac is on. It was almost a year that trying to operate such sampling rates leaded to self rested of mdc2 card.

    I'll open a new ticket... 🙄

Support told me that starting from this FW release, there are 10 Dirac presets, 5 for 2.0 (no sub) and 5 for 2.1 (with sub), so they have to be saved separately whilst in the desired mode. Since I had all my presets saved with the subwoofer active, I don't have any 2.0 to show, therefore the Dirac menu is not shown.

I'll check ASAP, meanwhile I asked if a full measure set has to be taken without sub, or just a new filter render is enough.

Maybe it's my fault but I don't remember to have read anything about this new behavior.

    Hi Luciano

In the older version, you would not see the 2.1 filters at all if your subwoofer was off. The configuration is the same, the way it is displayed has been changed as per DIRAC's newer SDK.

I just verified that to render a 2.0 filter, I have to retake a full set of measures in such configuration. Dirac doesn't accept the previous 2.1, saying it was for a different setup.

I have this same problem with both an M66 and M33.

I bought an M66 and unplugged the M33 to put in and neither of them have Dirac in the menu now, BluOS version is 4.12.11.

Done hard reboots, resets but no joy.
