    As long as I can't backup BluOS playlists, I make my playlists outside of the BluOS system.

    I have my music on a NAS and use a mediaplayer (Quod Libet/ Linux) to create m3u lists and export these to the root of my NAS. Reindex and play, all done. A bit more work but solid backup is now possible.

    Minor adding/ deleting can be done in the play queue and saved in a new BluOS playlist, but remember editing the m3u list afterwards if you want to keep the changes.
