M3u Playlists no longer in alpabetical order on Vault2i
BeantwortetDear BluOS Support,
I'm writing to raise a persistent issue affecting playlist management on the Android version of the BluOS Controller app.
Despite having playlists saved correctly on my BluOS Vault (which serves as the native music source), the playlists appear in a seemingly random order on two separate Android devices. There is no apparent alphabetical sorting, nor a consistent order based on creation or modification date.
This lack of predictable sorting makes the Android experience inefficient and frustrating — particularly when managing a large number of playlists which I have.
My AI assistant has noticed Several users have flagged this issue recently in online forums, with similar experiences across Vault setups and Android devices, suggesting a broader UI inconsistency. I'd like to know:
- Is this behavior officially acknowledged as a bug or limitation?
- Is there a roadmap or fix in progress for restoring or enforcing alphabetical playlist sorting?
- Are there any additional diagnostics I can perform on the Vault or app to resolve this?
I’ve rebooted my Vault 2i and rebuilt the index via desktop app, but these have had no impact on my windows and android devices. I’d appreciate any guidance you can offer — and ideally, a resolution in an upcoming update,
Andrew

Hi Andrew
Thanks for the details. Our QA has been able to replicate this issue affecting a small handful of users. They are currently testing a software patch with our Product Development Team. We hope to publish an update to resolve this in the very very near future.
We do apologise for the inconvenience.

yep my guess anyone with a Vault or local media will see this irrespective of how they control their BlueSound setup. My work around is to favourite my dance related playlist as balloom practice is what we mainly use our rig for/

Andrew is correct - it's stored on the Players. Regardless of the Controller App, the results will be the same.
That being said, look for BluOS 4.10.19 to be released in the next 48-72 hours to resolve this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience.
