Audio clock using external DAC
BeantwortetHi, i am connecting my bluesound node N130 to Denafrips DAC.
My question is whether the audio clock will be processed in the Node or Denafrips, if i am using:
1. Coaxial output from Bluesound
2. USB output from Bluesound
I have read several posts and seems that the USB will drive the clock into the external DAC. However for coaxial there are answers for both, the clock is driven by the Node and external DAC, so not sure which is the correct one?
Also if the clock is driven by the external DAC, do i still need to set the audio clock trim in the Node setting?
Appreciate for any feedback.

When using digital outs, DSP is bypassed on your NODE regardless of the output.
The Audio Clock Trim setting is required on older 3rd party DACs to adjust a time sync issue. Please use the default setting unless you happen to notice audible clips in playback that sound like a CD skipping.
COAX or USB...? Let your ears decide.
