Pulse soundbar (1st gen) connecting to Sub+

Just bought a sub + thinking I can connect it wirelessly to my first gen soundbar, but believe they are incompatible. Attempting to connect them with a subwoofer cable doesn’t seem to be working either. Is there anyway I can make this work?
