N130, snapping/ticking sound at high volume
BeantwortetHi,
I have a N130 connected to a pair of digital Genelec 8351As (DAC is in the speakers). While streaming from e.g. Spotify or Tidal (no matter which quality), a ticking/snapping sound appears (only) at high volumes. Ticking is not loud but clearly audible and very annoying. The ticking is not periodical as it appears always when there are louder, more dynamic sounds in the music playing. The phenomenon might have something to do with warming up of the N130 as it sometimes appears only some minutes after starting up the device.
I have another set of digital Genelecs, model 8341A and the same thing appears with them. I also have older Node2i which works perfectly well without any problems with the 8351 and 8341 so the problem should not be associated with the speakers.
I have tried rebooting N130, updating software, fiddling with all available setting (audio clock trim etc.), removing possible external disturbance sources (coupling of disturbances from other devices having switching power sources etc.) and nothing helps.
Is my N130 faulty (e.g. capacitors of the internal power source?)? Any ideas?
